Terminator WIP

Another guy I'm working with. I still need to add the shoulder pads on him, maybe a bit more decay.

Enjoy!

Terminator Lord WIP..

So I decided to break out my terminator lord to figure out where I wanted to go with him. Lots of pustules and I might still add a tentacle or two to the base. I decided to go with a nurgling on the base instead of the little guy it came with. Lots added to him, and I think I might need some more near the leg area to bring it all together.

The joys of hobby knives...

While cleaning up a model today I rammed my hobby knife into my finger. Not stabbed (so it didn't cut through my finger) just the full length of the blade cut into my skin a bit (lots)..

damn I'm a bleeder..

Epidemius Mod Painting part 4.4 (WIP)

Started to wrap this puppy up... I moved up the back and to the front of Epidemius's chair and highlighted a few areas. Puke is running down the front with the maggots rolling down in it.

(please don't mind the background, I don't know if I will be setting my photo area back up anytime soon)

Epidemius Mod Painting part 4.3 (WIP)

Mr Nasty is coming along nicely. I put a black wash over the tentacles and adding some dry brushing to highlight the little monsters/nurglings on him. I also added some red gunk in the bursting open pustules.

Not that much work done this past weekend as I had visitors for 4 days... bleg.

Chaos Space Marine

Well since I've been painting, I have one finished... or at least I thought I did before I took these pictures.

Now... I'm not too happy with it. Fail.

Don't mind the outside pictures, I took my photo area down because I was painting my walls.

(yes I know he is wearing the wrong back, I found out just last week what that was actually for... oops)

Painting.. is still moving along fine.

No pictures currently as I'm packing away my house, painting, and doing yard work, so my photo area has been taken down.

Updates very soon.

Epidemius Mod Painting part 4.2.. (WIP)

I put the pieces back onto mr nasty earlier. (Mr nasty almost fell 5 feet, which would've made him explode instead it was 1/2 a foot into my hand) But I wanted to show the progress on painting I made yesterday. More washes and some coloring on the different parts. I will be working on more of the details soon to bring the interesting parts out. So far I'm happy with it.

klutz....

I dropped mr nasty. he's ok, just a few things came off. I can fix it no problem!

GreenStuff Fav Tool...

So far, I'm enjoying working with green stuff, as you can likely see from my earlier post. I normally use about three things working with green stuff (so far) a color shaper, a shot glass with water (yeah not licking stuff sorry it will make me sick at some point), and my curved modeling tool. Of all I like my color shaper the best, because I can actually smooth things out... Now I've been working with mostly organic looking objects, so the tools may/will change a bit depending on what I am working with.

Then again most people likely already know about even better tools. These are what I've been shown so far and these work well for me.

Epidemius Mod Begin Painting part 4.1.. (WIP)

Since I totally covered the base in green stuff I needed a way to hold onto the mini. cork wouldn't work, but I do, do a lot of crafty stuff. I realized my 1oz white cosmetics jars would work perfectly (I hoped). So far the fig hasn't fallen off so I think we're good. (I buy the jars by the hundreds so I have loads)

Lots of washes, browns, reds, greens (of differenting shades), and a bit of yellow. It needs more work but it's coming along ok so far. Still learning and growing to understand how the paints work over figures.

I've decided his name is mr nasty, because by the time I'm done with him he will be completely nasty looking.

Forgeworld..

My order finally (ok I just ordered it/them) showed up on my card so I'm guessing it'll be about 20ish days from now till I see my order.

Yes, I'm a bit over the top on somethings. Yes, I've only been working with 40k stuff for a month. I need something else other then Millinery and Perfumery sometimes.

Yes, I will take my time with the items I ordered.

Epidemius Mod continued part 4.. (WIP)

Alright, primer has been added. I'm currently testing some painting styles on it to see what I like. Lots of washes and waiting.. I'm also working on some of my normal troops. I use a grey base primer because it seems to have the best coverage and doesn't fill in any of the detail.

Epidemius Mod continued part 3.. (WIP)

Green stuff all done with for now? I think so. If I put the primer on it, I'll likely stop adding more stuff to the "little" thing. Over all I think it's coming along well and having the back along with Epidemius make it look not as busy as first thought.

For the tentcales to keep their shape and to defy gravity a bit I used this same technique that my friend posted about on her blog.

This so far is the largest amount of green stuff I've ever used, I've only done little pustules and spikes breaking through armor or guts hanging out of my terminators. All of this with the help of my friend showing me first, then telling me to slow the hell down and think about what I'm going to do next.

This figure was /mostly/ thought out as I had an image in my head of what I wanted to do, with a little kick for another friend to raise him up. I believe we have a most interesting figure now.
